Here is one of my favorite positive affirmation statements:

It is when you no longer feel the need for money that money will come.  The feeling of needing money comes from the thought that you don't have enough, and so you continue to create not having enough money.

You are always creating, and when it comes to money, you are either creating the lack of it or the abundance of it.

Here is an excerpt from the book, How to Be Rich ~ Compact Wisdom from the World's Greatest Wealth-Builders.

Watch Your Thoughts, Hate Within, Hovel Without.

There are childish states of consciousness that operate against material harmony. Worry, hate, fear, anxiety and condemnation are interior pivots for exterior hovels. Wherever we rest our ideas and energies, substance must gather round.
"Envy is the ulcer of the soul," said Socrates.
A mind that has been poised through incarnations in the belief of poverty and its power, and backs this belief in the present with childish states of mind - anger, worry and fear, will find poverty abiding with it.

(From The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, 1910)

A lovely quote by author Louise L. Hay, from her book ~ Heart Thoughts.

We do not have to

know how to

forgive.

All we have to do

is be willing

to forgive.

The

Universe will

take care of the how.

Owning your Flow

What do you think about energy?  Specifically your energy?

What are your thoughts about the subtle energy system of Chakras?

Do you think if you had an understanding of your energetic self that you could shift your life experiences to be filled with more grace and flow?

Carol Tuttle's dynamic and compassionate teaching ability demonstrates that she most certainly has a few ideas and healing directions for you. I have included a video that is part of a sales page  tool for Carol Tuttle's chakra system.  However, there is so much information in this eight minute video that I highly recommend that  you watch it several times.  You may be delighted to find that every time you re-visit the video there is another gem waiting for you in her garden of information.

The  video on this posting is one in a group of seven that fulfill an overall view of the chakras from Carol Tuttle.

The most obvious gift to  take away  from this video  about the root chakra or the first chakra is that the energizing color for this chakra is red.   Carol also shares that one of the healing techniques for this chakra to open is to stamp your feet.

I know it's easy to sit and listen and watch, but in this offering consider being available to actually take the action that she suggests.

I am really enjoying soaking up all this subtle energy information. I find it facilitates a creative process for an inner exploration of me.  There is just a gentle feeling of listening and that is the only requirement on my part.

The set up for this video is as follows:

Are your Chakras open or closed?

Root Chakra is responsible for your career, money mindset and sense of belonging.  If it is blocked you are stuck in a unfulfilling and unrewarding career, you never seem to have enough money - which leaves you worried and in debt.
Spending money is a harrowing experience for you as you doubt your ability to budget effectively.  You suffer from weight or body issues, which leave you feeling unworthy and uncomfortable in your own skin.

Awaken your mindfulness to Water

Re-Designing a person's space and working with the placement of their personal collection of artwork is really a interesting practice that I enjoy.   When I combined my years of Feng Shui with Interior Re-Design my education included gaining  some information that is  really quite empowering.

People buy in themes.

You may want to awaken your senses right now by looking at your artwork on your walls.  You may not be aware  that you buy the same focus over and over again.   My favorite example of this is a woman who wanted a more harmonious feeling in her home.  In the process of  Re-Design we begin with the client and together we take all of their  art collection and put it in one room.  It can be quite startling to see what your theme is and overall focus.  This particular client had several paintings of Robert Bateman the wildlife artist.  We were able to see all of the fire energy (animals) that was being represented in the artwork and by combining the two worlds of Re-Design with  the art of placement (Feng Shui) maximize the harmony in her space.  My point is that we focus on our artwork and buy it from our internal emotional reservoir.  When you take the time to look at every piece of artwork you are freeing up  your mind to make a conscious space for the areas of your life that would benefit from a new focus.  This awareness will give you the self confidence to edit your surroundings with things that truly support you on a path of self kindness.

I remember years ago when I first saw  Dr. Emoto's water crystal photographs.
Dr. Emoto's book,  The Hidden Messages in Water was released in 2005.  My collection of affirmation tags launched in 2003  and I was so excited that his scientific photo essays were showing that what you focus on and think of can change the shape of a water drop crystal.  I remember taping LOVE onto the bottom of my water bottle so I could embrace the softness of that vibration in my life.  It was kind of fun to do that.  I also took my own charms and put them on a little chain around the bottle but they were always falling off. Whenever I visit Dr. Emoto's collection of crystal photographs I am deeply inspired.  It makes me want to focus on all and everything that is beautiful on this planet earth.

I put together three videos of Dr. Emoto that I compiled from various Google resources. I never did acquire Dr. Emoto's book,  because I know that through my own life discoveries the value of the words we choose to focus on. However by creating this post on the value of finding ourselves through what we focus on I will be adding at least one  of his books to my library.

This first video is a brief biography of Dr. Emoto and his photos. Enjoy!

Lilou interviews Dr. Emoto's USA representative, Lindsay Kemp in Honolulu during the World Congress of Quantum Physics - December 2012.

Messages from Water.
This documentary shows how Dr. Emoto originally created his photographs and how they actually froze the water drops.   It is 40 minutes in length, has English subtitles in parts of the program and  has a lot of information in it to absorb.

If you were to know me, you would understand that I have a habit of singing throughout the day.  It's not long - I usually burst out with  "la la lah..."  likened to the sound of three piano keys, or I would like to think.  It  happens to me without notice  and before I know it my little song has been sung.  I pretty much keep a water bottle with me at all times  as well.  All these years I have been singing to my water and infusing it with the good vibrations of enthusiasm.  I have a few songs that stay with me and it makes me smile to think of them and hum a few bars.

This is one of them....

This is one of my favorite positive affirmations statements:

Our highest power is love, and it it one thing each of us has an unlimited amount of.   How much love do you give to others in one day?  Each day we have an opportunity to set out with this great, unlimited power in our possession, and pour it over every person and circumstance.

Love is appreciating, complimenting, feeling gratitude, and speaking good words to others.

We have so much love to give, and the more that we give, the more we receive.

Here is an excerpt from the book, How to be Rich ~ Compact Wisdom from the World's greatest Wealth-Builders.

Greatness is only for the NonCompetitive:

Moral and spiritual greatness is possible only to those who are above the competitive battle for existence.  Only those who are becoming rich on the plane of creative thought are free from the degrading influences of competition.  If your heart is set on domestic happiness, remember that love flourishes best where there is refinement, a high level of thought, and freedom from corrupting influences; and these are to be found only where riches are attained by the exercise of creative thought, without strife or rivalry.

You can aim at nothing so great or noble as to become rich; and you must fix your attention upon your mental picture of riches, to the exclusion of all that may tend to dim or obscure the vision.  You must learn to see the underlying truth in all things.  You must see beneath all seemingly wrong conditions that life is ever moving forward toward fuller expression and more complete happiness.

It is the truth that there is no such thing as poverty - that there is only wealth.  Some people remain in poverty because they are ignorant of the fact that there is wealth for them.  These people can best be taught by showing them the way to affluences in your own person and practice.
Others are poor because, while they feel that there is a way out, they are too intellectually indolent to put forth the mental effort necessary to find that way and travel it.  For these the very best thing you can do is to arouse their desire by showing them the happiness that comes from being rightly rich.

(From The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, 1910)

Remember to Breathe

We all understand the beautiful gift to ourselves of taking the  time to reflect on the memory of who we really are.   The effects of a holiday are long lasting and offer our body, mind and spirit a different place to breathe and relax.

Deepak Chopra, M.D. writes; Affluence, unboundedness, and abundance are our natural state.

Creating a place in our home and in our mind where we can relax for a few minutes is a restorative practice.  Meditating is ideal  but finding a place of privacy is not always available in our work place situations.

Breathing can be an instant way to check in with yourself and enjoy the experience of living in the moment - wherever you are.

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.  While you are breathing in bring up an image in your mind of a happy moment; a memory that gives you the emotions of immense happiness and peace.

On your exhale include a big heartful sigh sound of aahhh.....

It does bring up the reality of even finding the space to breathe in once and sigh with sound can even be a bit of a challenge in an urban environment.

This specific style of breath work creates  endorphins  in our bodies and minds so that we do not run ahead or back up from our emotions.  I learned this technique from Ellie Drake, founder of Braveheart Women.com.

Yes, it is really wonderful to have a tropical escape from  a long cold winter.
However, working toward a destination and taking advantage of all the moments in between is  more aligned in keeping with your flow.

A friend of mine and her husband enjoyed a vacation on  the big Island of Hawaii  last fall.  She mentioned while on the plane ride back to the mainland they talked with a couple who had gone camping on the big island of Hawaii.

I have included this link.

They vacationed in  Kona at a resort and then drove over to Hilo and were absolutely enchanted with the Big Island's (nick name for the island named Hawaii) energy.

Love the Day. Love the Moment.

Valentine's Day this year was warm and sunny.  Every year we say we are going to get away from the long grey winter of the Pacific Northwest.

This year we did it!

It all started with a great deal on some tickets through Expedia.com. The next thing you know we are in a taxi leaving the Honolulu airport  heading to Waikiki beach. It is still a bit of a dream to know that a few short weeks ago my main concern of the day was what sunscreen SPF to use.

My first visit to the Hawaiian Islands was back in the 1970s, and I have never tired of the beauty found in this part of planet earth. On a more practical note, I highly recommend taking a taxi to Waikiki beach when you land.  You can always take a shuttle bus departing from Waikiki back to the airport.  There are coupons on every street corner it seems to take advantage of the trip to the airport for $8-$14. The shuttle does stop at several hotels to pick up other homeward bound happy travellers.  It has been my experience that you can pretty much be on the beach by around 2:30pm the same day that you leave the West Coast if you hail a cab when you arrive.  It is about $40US into the Waikiki district.

It is a  known fact that after every full moon the jellyfish come into the beach and you will see red flags with the icon of a person swimming and the shape of a jellyfish underneath.  It has the zap electrical signage to make sure that whatever language you speak - meeting up with a jellyfish can hurt.

Of course every time we are in Hawaii we remind ourselves we should have looked  at a full moon schedule to avoid the jellyfish purge. The jellyfish only remain  for about five days and then go away back to the deep blue water. While we were there the flags came down and we were in the Waikiki beach water every day.

We always reminisce about one of our Waikiki holidays where we were visited by two turtles while enjoying the ocean.  It happened outside the Royal Hawaiian, also known as the Big Pink Hotel.   All of a sudden a large turtle's head poked up out of the water about twenty feet away.  Then another turtle poked its head up out of the water a little farther from the first turtle.  The three of us were yelling and pointing and just amazed that these sea turtles felt so safe to be near us.

You guessed it, of course we could now officially say we - Talked to the Turtle.

On this trip though, we hadn't seen any turtles. We talked with another beach goer while standing on the shoreline about the sanctuary that Waikiki is  for the sea turtles. The holiday goer we were chatting with was quite knowledgeable about the local sea turtles of Honolulu. He informed us  that jellyfish are actually a delicacy for the turtles and so there should have been at least one sighting. The jellyfish flag warnings were down and gone now so maybe the turtles were out swimming in the deep water.

Less then ten minutes after this conversation, I thought I noticed  something in the water about fifty yards away.  Then I saw a group of guys with their Frisbee and what I thought was something was really nothing.

The two of us were in about three feet of water when the turtle showed up.  There was a slight swell of water in front of us and a green sea turtle the size of a cow just glided by in front of us.  It was approximately ten feet away, I could see her breathing and looking at us.  He or she showed us her underside and then her back and the one side of her face that had her eye on us the whole time she glided by.  Honestly if there was a video on the two of us, you would have seen me screaming "look - look"  and my boyfriend totally still with his mouth open in awe.

When I looked back at the beach, nobody had even noticed. Everyone was talking and in their own groove.  Headphones on. Another person rolling over. People walking by us on the shore with the happy slow pace of relaxation. The man who we had just  talked to was nowhere in sight.

I turned around and looked back out to the ocean. Busy Waikiki beach...

We both just stood there in the ocean, quiet.  What was there to say... Then I heard a woman's voice behind me.  I turned as she was making her way  over to us in the water.

"That was a blessing that just happened for you."

That was a turtle blessing....

I said to her.  "So you saw that?  You saw that turtle that was the size of a Volkswagen beetle?"

"Yes, I saw it, she said".  "That was really wonderful."

Then we talked - the three of us.  She told us her story of how her mother had lived in Hawaii for years and passed away just last year.   On her mother's request her ashes were retired into the water off of one of the  Hawaiian Islands, in a water ceremony.

Love the Day.    Love the Moment.
